At the time of death

अन्तकाले मामेव स्मरन्मुक्त्वा कलेवरम्
: प्रयाति मद्भावं याति नास्त्यत्र संशय:॥

Anta-kaale cha maameva
smaran-muktvaa kalevaram.
Yah prayaati sa madbhaavam
yaati naastyatra samshayah.

Bhagavad Gita 8.5

Whoever, at the time of death, leaving the body, goes forth remembering Me alone, he attains My Being; there is no doubt about this.

अन्त-कले at the end, at death and माम् Me एव alone ्मरन् remember, remembering मुक्त्वा leaving, relinquish कलेवरम् the body ः who प्रयाति goes ः he/she मद्भावम् – मत् become, believe भावम् godlike, intellectual attitude or nature यति achieves अस्ति there is not अत्र here संशयः doubt.

यं यं वापि स्मरन्भावं त्यजत्यन्ते कलेवरम्
तं तमेवैति कौन्तेय सदा तद्भावभावित:

Yam yam vaapi smaran-bhaavam
tyajaty-ante kalevaram.
Tam tam-evaiti kounteya
sadaa tadbhaava-bhaavitah.

Bhagavad Gita 8.6

Whatever a person thinks of at the last moment when s/he leaves the body, that alone does s/he attain, being ever absorbed in that thought.

यम् यम् whatever वा or अपि even ्मरन् remembering भावम् nature, state of being त्यजति leaves अन्ते in the end कलेवरम् the body तम् that एव alone, certainly एति gets कौन्तेय Arjuna (the listener) सदा constantly तत् that भाव भावितः absorbed in contemplation, being always in thought
