Oblations in different directions
If there are havan kunda and vedi set up in the four directions of the home, then the mantras for each direction may be chanted at that relevant side of the house with oblations made to that kunda.
If there is only one central havan kunda, the oblations can be made at this central kunda while facing each direction. For example, face the east when chanting the mantras relevant to the eastern direction. For oblations identified for the central kunda, the homeowners return to sit in the regular position of the west facing east (same position as would have been adopted through the rest of the ceremony).
Oblations for the east direction:
ओं प्राच्या दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
Om praachyaa dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
O Lord, we give our homage to you on this eastern side of our home. Please protect and bless us from the east direction.
Oblations for the south direction:
ओं दक्षिणाया दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
Om dakshiṇaayaa dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
O Lord, we give our homage to you on this southern side of our home. Please protect and bless us from the south direction.
Oblations for the west direction
ओं प्रतीच्या दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
Om prateechyaa dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
O Lord, we give our homage to you on this western side of our home. Please protect and bless us from the west direction.
Oblations for the North direction:
ओं उदीच्या दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
Om udeechyaa dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
O Lord, we give our homage to you on this northern side of our home. Please protect and bless us from the north direction.
Oblations at the Center
ओं ध्रुवाया दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
ओं ऊर्ध्वाया दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
ओं दिशो दिशः शालाया नमो महिम्ने स्वाहा ॥
ओं देवेभ्यः स्वाह्येभ्यः स्वाहा ॥
Om dhruvaayaa dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
Om oordhvaayaa dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
Om disho dishah shaalaayaa namo mahimne svaahaa.
Om devebhyah svaahyebhyah svaahaa.
O Lord, we give our homage to you at this central part of our home. Please protect and bless us from all directions as well as from above and below.
प्राच्या east, easterly दिशः direction शालाया home नमो homage महिम् honored नः us दे protect, guard एभ्यो from these स्वाह्येभ्यः fortune, fame, worthy of oblation दक्षिणा south, right प्रतीच्य western, west उदीच्य north ध्रुवाय central part, axis ऊर्ध्वाय upwards दिशो all directions

वास्तोष्पते प्रति जानीह्यस्मान्त्स्वावेशो अनमीवो भवा नः ।
यत्त्वेमहे प्रति तन्नो जुषस्व शं नो भव द्विपदे शं चतुष्पदे स्वाहा ॥
Vaastoṣh-pate prati jaaneehy-asmaan
svaavesho anameevo bhavaa naḥ.
Yat tvemahe prati tanno juṣhasva
sham no bhava dvipade sham catuṣhpade svaahaa.1
Almighty Lord, you have blessed us with the ability to get and occupy this home. Please bless us with good fortune, happiness, and comfort in our home. May the entrance to our home always be secure and usher in good energies, prosperity, fortune, and well-being. Oh Lord, please bless our home and family with happiness in our home. May all the persons, plants, and animals in and around our home be blessed.
वास्तोः residence, home पते householder, owner, occupant वास्तोष्पते also is the Lord of all structures प्रति toward, regarding, according to जानीहि know, perceive अस्मान् of us, mine, I सु very, well, good आवेशः entrance अनमीवः comfortable, beneficial, healthy भव be नः I, mine, us यत् who, which त्वा you ईमहे get, solicit, beg प्रति toward, regarding, until तत् that नः I, mine जुषस्व enjoy, endow, approve शम् fortune, prosperity, well-being नः us, I, mine भव be द्विपदे bipeds चतुष्पदे quadrupeds
वास्तोष्पते प्रतरणो न एधि गयस्फानो गोभिरश्वेभिरिन्दो ।
अजरासस्ते सख्ये स्याम पितेव पुत्रान्प्रति नो जुषस्व स्वाहा ॥
Vaastoṣh-pate prataraṇo na edhi
gayasphaano gobhir ashvebhir indo.
Ajaraasas te sakhye syaama
piteva putraan prati no juṣhasva svaahaa.2
Almighty Lord, you have blessed us with the ability to get and occupy this home. Please bless us with good health, wealth, good transportation, and good company and friends. You are our universal parent. Please endow us with your continued blessings.
वास्तोः residence, home पते householder, owner, occupant वास्तोष्पते also is the Lord of all structures प्रतरणः beneficial नः us, I, me एधि be, exist, result गयस्फानः home, property, wealth गोभिः property, cattle अश्वेभिः transportation, horses इन्दो moon अजरासः undecaying, ageless ते you सख्ये company स्याम be पिताइव like a father/parent पुत्रान् son, child प्रति toward नः us जुषस्व enjoy, endow
वास्तोष्पते शग्मया संसदा ते सक्षीमहि रण्वया गातुमत्या ।
पाहि क्षेम उत योगे वरं नो यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः स्वाहा ॥
Vaastoṣh-pate shagmayaa samsadaa te
saksheemahi raṇvayaa gaatumatyaa.
Paahi kshema uta yoge varam no
yooyam paata svastibhiḥ sadaa naḥ svaahaa.3
O Lord, please bless our home always to be spacious and comfortable. May this home always be reliable, restful, peaceful, and competent to our needs. May we be secure and protected by your Grace. May we enjoy good health and good company, and may we consistently practice a disciplined life. Please bless us with prosperity, health, and happiness in our home.
वास्तोः residence, home पते householder, owner, occupant वास्तोष्पते also is the Lord of all structures शग्मया powerful, reliable, competent सम्सदा company ते you सक्षीमहि enter, accompany रण्वया delightful, happy गातुमत्या spacious, commodious, accommodative पाहि protect, govern क्षेमे happiness, tranquility, rest उत and, similarly, lift up योगे relationship, physical discipline वरम् favor, gift, privilege नः us यूयम् you पात protect स्वस्तिभिः prosperity, bliss, fortune, well-being सदा always, perpetually नः for us
अमीवहा वास्तोष्पते विश्वा रूपाण्याविशन् ।
सखा सुशेव एधि नः स्वाहा ॥
Ameevahaa vaastoṣh-pate vishvaa roopaaṇy-avishan.
Sakhaa susheva edhi naḥ svaahaa.4
O Lord, you are the God of all forms of creation and the benevolent remover of pains and sorrows. You have blessed us with the ability to have this residence. Please protect us and enable us to enjoy the bliss, beauty, and peace of our home with our family and friends. May all those who enter this home be favorable towards us.

सरस्वतीञ्च वाजीञ्च वास्तु मे दत्त वाजिनः स्वाहा ॥
Agnim-indram brihaspatim
vishvaansh-cha devaan-upah-vaye.
Sarasvateen-cha vaajaan-cha
vaastu me datta vaajinah svaahaa.5
O Almighty Lord, we give homage to you. You are the chief architect of the entire world. You create the intricate designs of the world, you energize the world, you are the benefactor of everyone, the source of wisdom, the strength that holds everything together and yet keeps them apart. We thank you for this home. Please bless us with wisdom and strength.
अग्निमिन्द्रं The positive Power of God, the energizing force बृहस्पति Benevolent God विश्वां entire world च and देवानुपह्वये independent and absolute Illuminative force, the source of unbiased wisdom सरस्वती wisdom वाजिन् strong वास्तु chief architect मे me दत्त gift, given, granted वाजि strong, strenghtening नः us
सर्पदेवजनान्त्सर्वान् हिमवन्तं सुदर्शनम् ।
वसूंश्च रुद्रानादित्यानीशानं जगदैः सह ।

Sarpadeva-janaan-sarvaan himavantam sudarshanam.
Vasoonsh-cha rudraana-adityaani-shaanam jagadaih saha.
Etaant-sarvaan-prapadye-aham
vaastu me datta vaajinah svaahaa.6
Homage to you, O Lord. You are the creator of the entire world with its beautiful mountains, water-bearing clouds, flowing waters, and rivers, the mighty sun, and the earth. You are the Powerful Creator of all of creation and our benefactor. You are the source of our wealth and strength. Please bless us as we step into our new home.
सर्पदेवजन powerfully flowing clouds and rivers हिमवन्तं mountains सुदर्शनम् beautiful वसूं waters रुद्रा mighty अदित्य sun ईशान master, splendor, wealthy जगत् world सह along with एतान् these सर्वान् every, all, entire प्रपद् gain, attain प्रपद्ये enter अहम् I, me वास्तु chief architect मे me दत्त gift, given, granted वाजि strong, strenghtening नः us प्रपद्ये
कर्तारञ्च विकर्तारं विश्वकर्माणमोषधींश्च वनस्पतीन् ।
एतान्त्सर्वान्प्रपद्येऽहं वास्तु मे दत्त वाजिनः स्वाहा ॥
Kartaaran-cha vikartaaram vishva-karmaaṇa-
moṣhadheensh-cha vanaspateen.
Etaant-sarvaan-prapadye-aham
vaastu me datta vaajinah svaahaa.7
Homage to you, O Lord, as we enter our home. You are the creator and designer of the entire world. You bring everything together and yet keep them apart. You have given us the world and its forests, medicinal plants and beneficial nature. Please bless us with wisdom and strength.
कर्तार doer, creator विकर्तारं undoer, can set asunder विश्वकर्माण designer ओषधींश्च medicinal plants वनस्पतीन् plants, forests एतान् these सर्वान् every, all, entire प्रपद्ये enter अहम् I, me वास्तु chief architect मे me दत्त gift, given, granted वाजि strong, strenghtening नः us
धातारं च विधातारं निधीनां च पतिं सह ।
एतान्त्सर्वान्प्रपद्येऽहं वास्तु मे दत्त वाजिनः स्वाहा ॥
Dhaataaram cha vidhaataaram
nidheenaam-cha patim saha.
Etaant-sarvaan-prapadye-aham
vaastu me datta vaajinah svaahaa.8
Homage to you, O Lord, please bless us as we enter our home. You are the Creator and the one who holds everything in place. You are the designer of the things used to make this home of ours. Please bless us with health and strength.
धातारं creator, who holds everything in place च and विधातारं one who keeps order to everything निधीनां residence पतिं owner सह along with एतान् these सर्वान् every, all, entire प्रपद्ये enter अहम् I, me वास्तु chief architect मे me दत्त gift, given, granted वाजि strong, strengthening नः us
स्योनं शिवमिदं वास्तु दत्तं ब्रह्मप्रजापती ।
सर्वाश्च देवताश्च स्वाहा ॥
Syonam shivam-idam vaastu
dattam brahma-prajaapatee.
Sarvaash-cha devataash-cha svaahaa.9
Homage to you, O Benevolent Creator, you are the great master designer of the entire world. You are the giver of wisdom to the architects and wisdom to the wise ones. Please bless us with comfort and happiness in our home.
स्योनम् pleasant, comfortable, ray of light, sun शिवम् auspicious इदम् this वास्तु chief architect दत्त gift, given, granted ब्रह्मप्रजापती benevolent creator सर्वा all देवता wisdom, wise ones, wisdom of the wise.
