O Lord, your qualities of Omnipresence, Omniscience and Omnipotence are a timeless reality. You witness every act of ours and You are the benefactor of the righteous. Your Blissful presence is a certainty through all time.
O Holy One, may we be blessed with a long and healthy life of more than a hundred years. May we perceive You in all our senses and physical activities. May we become independent (of all attachments) in our lives, and, O Lord, may we enjoy all of this for more than a hundred years.
- If the wedding is during daylight hours, the couple looks toward the sun. For weddings at night, they can look in the direction of the fire instead.
- Yajur Veda 36.24
