Svishtakrit-ahuti: Oblation of Ghee and Grains
ओं यदस्य कर्मणोऽत्यरीरिचं
यद्वा न्यूनमीहाकरम्।
अग्निष्टत् स्विष्टकृद् विद्यात्
सर्वं स्विष्टं सुहुतं करोतु मे।
अग्नये स्विष्टकृते सहुतहुते
सर्वप्रायश्चित्ताहुतीनां कामानां
समर्धयित्रे सर्वान्नः कामान्त्समर्द्धय स्वाहा।
इदमग्नये स्विष्टकृते इदन्न मम।
Om yadasya karmaṇo‘tya-ree-richaṃ
yadvaa nyoonam-ihaa-karam.
Agniṣh-ṭat sviṣhṭa-kṛid vidyaat sarvaṃ
sviṣhṭaṃ suhutaṃ karotu me.
Agnaye sviṣhṭa-kṛite suhuta-hute
sarva-praayaśh-chitta-ahuteenaaṃ
kaamaanaaṃ samar-dhayitre
sarvaanaḥ kaamaant-samardhayah svaahaa.1
Idam-agnaye sviṣhṭa-kṛite, idanna mama.
Translation
If words were missed or actions performed wrong,
If focus wavered as we sang our song;
O Knower of the Heart, the True and Wise,
Accept the spirit of our sacrifice.
Transform our flaws and make our efforts whole,
To bring a lasting peace unto the soul;
May every noble wish and righteous deed,
Be granted now according to our need.
O All-Knowing Divine, the ultimate perfection. We acknowledge that our human actions are bound by limitations. Whatever part of this performance was executed improperly (Atyareericham), in excess, or left incomplete (Nyoonam), we consciously correct it now through the absolute, unwavering purity of our intent. We align our minds with Your flawless cosmic order, ensuring the spiritual success and bliss of this sacrifice. We dedicate our aspirations to You, committing to the rigorous work required to fulfill our righteous desires. With this offering, I declare: This is for the Supreme Force that brings all noble efforts to fruition; it is not mine.
यत्-अस्य whatever of this कर्मणः action, performance; अत्यरीरिचम् in excess, improperly यत् whatever वा or न्यूनम् less than, incomplete इह in this अकरम् is required अग्नि all-knowing तत् the/that स्विष्टकृत् Fulfiller of noble wishes विद्यात् Knows सर्वं all स्विष्टम् best efforts सुहुतम् Success, Well-offered करोतु may do मे me, my अग्नये all-knowing स्विष्टकृते for who makes this sacrifice successful सहुतहुते together with सर्वं all प्रायश्चित्त Corrective, Healing आहुतीनाम् offering कामानाम् wishes/desires कामानाम् wishes/desires समर्धयित्रे for the performer सर्वान्नः all our (सर्वान नः) कामान् wishes समर्धय Fulfill, Complete इदम् this स्विष्टकृते for Him who makes this sacrifice successful नः not मम mine, my
प्रजापत्याहुतिः – Prajaapatya-ahuti
Silent oblation of Ghee and Grains2
ओं प्रजापतये स्वाहा।
इदं प्रजापतये इदन्न मम।
Om (prajaapataye) svaahaa.
Idam prajaapataye, idanna mama.3
Translation
We contemplate the Lord of all Creation (Prajaapati)—the ultimate Origin, Nourisher, and Provider. In this profound quiet, we acknowledge that the infinite Source of Life transcends the boundaries of human speech and intellect. This silent act is our final tribute to the process of Creation itself, it is not mine.
NOTE: When Havan is being performed EVERYDAY, that is, BOTH in the MORNING AND AFTERNOON, then Gayatri Mantra can be recited here (for 3 times or any amount of times desired as extra oblations).
ओं भूर्भुवः स्वः। तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि। धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् स्वाहा॥
Om bhoor-bhuvaḥ-svaḥ. Tat savitur vareṇyam bhargo devasya dheemahi. Dhiyo yo nah pracho-dayaat svaahaa.
Then, three final offerings are made with:
ओं सर्वं वै पूर्णं स्वाहा।
Om sarvam vai pooram svaahaa
However for daily, weekly, periodic and special occasion Havans, the Havan continues with Pavamaan-ahuti as on the next page.

- With ths “silent chant” the words om and svaahaa are recited aloud and prajaapataye is silent In that silent moment, one concentrates on God and makes a personal pledge or appeal.
