Appointment of Priest – ऋत्विग्वरणम् – Ritvigvaranam

The father and mother says :
ओमावसोः सदने सीद।
Om-aa-vasoh sadane seeda1
The priest replies:
ॐ सीदामि।
Om seedaami.
The priest responds:
वृतोऽस्मि।
Vṛito‘smi.
- Gobhil Grihyasutra 1.6.5
- In the place of कर्म (karma), the जातकर्म (Jaatkarma Sanskaara) can be mentioned. karaṇaaya bhavantam vriṇe.
